About

SevereThunderstormWarning.com is a project I started several years ago. Life got busy and I never got it to where I wanted it, so it sat unfinished for a long time. Recently I was finally able to come back to it, rebuild it properly, and get it to a point where it was ready to update and relaunch.

The idea has always been simple: give people a fast, plain answer to one question. Am I in a severe thunderstorm warning right now? No clutter, no guessing, no digging through a map. You type in your ZIP code and you get a clear yes or no, along with any tornado warnings and watches for your area.

The alert information comes straight from the National Weather Service, the same official source that broadcasters and emergency managers rely on. The goal is to make that information easier to reach in the moment you actually need it.

This is an ongoing project, and there is more on the way. The next step is letting people sign up to be notified when a warning hits their area, by text, phone call, or email. You can help shape what gets built first by voting on the alerts page.

Thanks for stopping by, and stay safe out there.
